Camcorder

A digital camcorder is a great tool for a teacher. Even though he or she is planning ono missing class one day they can still have the class stay on schedule and do the lesson that was orginally planned. The teachers now do not have to worry about the substitutes messing up their lesson or not following it at all. They will be more comfertable calling off and confident that the class will do what is asked of them. Now the teacher can concentrate on their personal business instead of worrying about their class.

weather

The technology for weather is very useful. All of know where it seemed like around two inches showed up at the lovely SRU campus. Most people know it was coming though because of the weather reports that are the internet or television. Believe it or not these warning might actually save lives that you don't even know about. Can stop somoene from driving these bad roads up here in the winter that can easily get in accident. Instead they stay home because they know the weather is bad.

SRU

I like the technology that slippery rock uses to get the message across to students about classes getting canceled for example. You can sign up on an certain program on the slippery rock website. Whenever the weather is bad they can send out a personal message to you telling you that classes are cancled. this makes it very easy because if the student is not near a computer they would not be able to know and go out in the bad weather. You can also send them to stay in your dorms if there is an emergency on campus like VT of the latest northern illinios. This is a very nice program to have at a University and very easy to use.

health center

The health center here on campus is basically a waste of time. I waited there for an hour and all the nurse did as give me the same medicine I could of got at the local Giant Eagle. It is not worth it to go there if I'm going to get that kind of service. I also got mad whenever people that arrived after me got called into the office before I did. My final time at the health center was an hour and a half and all i got was cough syrup and a couple cough drops.

Publisher

This past assignment was the first time I heard of and used Publisher on Microsoft Office. I did not realize that you can do so many things from this program. I wish I knew about it earlier because a lot of past projects would of been a lot easier. I am glad that I know about it know because it will be a good tool to use in the future as a teacher. It will make my work look more professional than if I just made up the charts/certificates myself.

Computer

Earlier this week I saw one of the new computers that fit in an envelope. It was amazing how small it was and also how fast it was. Technology is crazy when the size of ogjects get smaller but there memory is getting bigger some how. That computer is easily 5 times quicker than my computer that I own. I wish I had the money to buy one of those because I would easily purshase the computer. The size of it will make it very easy to take from one place to another to do work.

Pro Bowl

The Pro Bowl is not going to be normal this year. Usually it is the best position players of that year. This year there are numerous amount of injuries that are causeing all the top players to not participate. Every time I am watching sportscenter I notice that a new starter is out and antother replacement is taking place. It is still going to be a fun event to watch. All the players are still going to enjoy theirselves but there is a chance the scoring might not be as high as normal.
