My friend Paul Denillo attends California University of Pennsylvania. He is on the Broadcast Crew and follows the basketball teams for Cal U. I think it is cool that he uses the tecnology to broadcast the game to the Cal U campus on a certain channel. They do everything that a station like FSN does. They have replays, they do graphics, they have interviews with players, etc. They just are not as professional as they real stations yet. It is funny listening to him on the TV or Radio because he has gone a long way from highschool.

Instant Replay

Instant replay is one of the biggest parts of the sports world today. It has changed so many games already and it has only been around for a couple of years. In basketball on last second shots they can break down the game film to tenths of seconds to see whether or not they player got the shot off in time. For the up coming superbowl they use HD instant replay so they can get the call correct everytime. There are several angles too so the refree can use multiple views to get the call correct.

Introduction

My name is Jim Sikora. I am a Pyhsical Education major at Slippery Rock University. I turn 21 February 27th so I can not wait to get that over with. My hometown is a small town called Brentwood. It is ten mintues away from the city of Pittsburgh which is very nice. I have one younger brother who is a freshman at University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. An interesting fact about me is that I enjoy long walks on the beach.
