weather
The weather is finally starting to get nice again in the slippery rock area. The current weather reports are saying the snow in finally gone and the nice weather is coming real soon. You see a lot more people now around campus catching football, throwing baseball, etc. Because of the weather a lot of the students are being more pyhsically active outside. You will start to see less students now in the arc and more of the students outside doing their physical activity.

Pens
As the season coming to an end the pens are back and forth for the number one spot in the east cost. The pens franchise is right where it wants to be with the new stadium coming in a couple of years. These playoffs the pens are going to give a good run for lord stanley and hopefully give the city of Pittsburgh something to cheer about. With the TV stations local and nationally I will be able to watch every single game in the playoffswhich is exciting. With hockey being the most exciting sports to watch when it comes to playoffs every game counts.

Buccos
Well spring training for the buccos looks the same again. Obviously they are not doing so well like the past years. It is time they change personal in the front office for the fans. THey are one of the only baseball teams that make profit throughout the league but enough is enough. Time to put some of that money into the fans and get their support back.

Pitt Bball
The Pittsburgh mens bball team made the NCAA tournament for the 7th straight season. They won the Big East Championship as a number 7th seed. They were underdogs the whole tournament but came through to win the whole thing. It was exciting watching these 4 games throughout the 4 day span. I hope they are still hot for the NCAA tournament. Bob Knight, the all-time winning coach, has predicted them to upset a couple more teams to win the whole tournament so lets hope the basketball team can live up to standers.

Big Ben
Big Ben just signed the biggest contract in Pittsburgh Steelers history and is now one of the top 5 paid athletes in the National Football League. This is the first step to keeping Ben in Pittsburgh for his whole career. From his stats last year and his new contract he would of made around $31,000 per pass attempt. For a touchdown pass he would of made $400,000. He has a lot to live up to this big contract. I'm going to look forward to watching Big Ben play with all this pressure to see how he reacts.
